Aaron serves as the Senior Associate Director of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. He came to SILC in 1997 and has lived in the Lawrence/Kansas City area for over 20 years while completing two degrees at KU. Aaron completed his undergraduate degree in Biology from KU in 1992 and worked for the Department of Student Housing during his undergraduate years. Following graduation, he went to Chicago and directed summer camps and sport programs for youth and adult for three years. In 1995 he returned to KU to obtain a Master's Degree in Higher Education. While in graduate school, Aaron worked for the Office of Recreation Services, working with the Sports Clubs on campus. He graduated with his Master of Science in Education in 1997.

Some of the responsibilities and programs Aaron oversees are the management of the SILC front office (including budgets), the registration process for student organizations on campus (600 annually) and coordination of the Rock Chalk Central platform, Non-traditional Student Services, Optional Campus Fees.  Aaron also supervises our Assistant Director for Sexuality and Gender Diversity and advises the Finance Committee (Student Senate), and Student Senate Elections.

Additionally, Aaron serves as the advisor for Rock Chalk Revue and teaches a UNIV-101 Orientation to KU class.  He has also worked KU’s summer basketball camps for Coach Williams and Coach Self, volunteers his time coaching his sons and other youth and loves to play basketball in his spare time with the Noon Basketball League (NBL) here at KU.  Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
